Shadow Shot Sunday--Dreamy Landscape

Happy Weekend all!! I'm excited to be on top of my game this week! I've already had my shadow shot picked out, and have just been waiting for the Meme to be up and ready!! The time has come! WOO HOO! I'm glad I was able to post before heading out of town (again, LOL)
Before beginning, let me say THANK YOU to Harriet for showcasing my photo on her blog again!! I really appreciate the recognition!!! ;-)
I'm excited about this week's photo. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And maybe I have a greater appreciation because I was there??? I took the girls on a hike this week, despite having a severe sinus infection. I really am not much of a homebody. So, being sick, is the worst for me! After 3 days of confinement in my home, with two children, I had to GET OUT! LOL
A Local Nature preserve was our destination. It was very hot (around 100 degrees Fahrenheit) with about 75% humidity. Sticky, thick, and still. But the scenery made it all worth while. Trees, waterfalls, plants, and wetlands. Even a water snake, which for some reason thrilled my girls beyond belief!! HA HA. I'm sure I will be blogging various photos from this trip for a couple of weeks, but for now, one of my absolute favorites for Shadow Shot Sunday.

A while back I had seen a shot similar to this on a woman's blog, and thought how magical, and Enchanting her photo was. Imagine my delight as I was walking along, and suddenly saw this fallen tree, overtaken with vines, with the long path ahead of us, and all the shadows on the ground!! Why, I'm getting giddy inside just reminiscing about it!! LOL
I love when photos can, even for a brief moment, take you to another place. Engulf you in it's image, and make you loose your senses. That is how I feel when I see this image. I find myself thinking of Fairy tales, and Magical creatures.
You might not be taken to the same places I am when viewing this scene, but I do hope it moves you. It's my wish that in some respect my photography always captures and lures you in. (remember, if you'd like to see the photo larger, simply click on it)
Happy SSS. And to see other capturing Shadows, click here to head over to Hey Harriet's Blog. (or click the badge below)

  2. BTW, Pachabel's Canon in D is playing and always reminds me of my (only) daughter's wedding 8 years ago, August 19th. Such a wonderful piece of music! Thanks for putting it on your playlist.
